Description
Pack train riders returning to pick up their campers in the Wallowa mountains. You ride a horse in and out, they drop you off at known camp site with all the food, cloths, sleeping gear, cooking equipment and tents. Then pick you back up in a week, You’re about 5 to 7 miles from the nearest road at an elevation of 5,000 to 7,000 feet. They can take 1 to 6 campers at a time. There are several pack outfits near Joseph, Oregon. If you are an outdoors person you will love the Wallowa Mountains. Bring a good camera. I took this photo while I was on a week Backpacking trip. Check the Web for Packers sites.
